| by: Jackie Baltimore SportsIntensity.com There are some very exciting changes that have taken place at Sports Intensity in the last month. First and foremost is the addition of a brand-spanking-new sports-betting forum. We'd had enough requests from visitors that were looking for a good place to talk sports and sports betting and smack that we finally figured out how to set it up and did. It may look a little rough but it'll do the job. But in order for it to work we need your help, loyal sports intensifiers. To make it successful we'll need as many people as possible to visit, and register as users, and post threads. As an added incentive in case love for us doesn't quite get you off your duffs there will be monthly and annual prizes given away to the users with the most posts. Monthly prizes will be Sports Intensity apparel: a very cool Sports Intensity Track Jacket from American Apparel as 1st prize, and Sports Intensity T-shirts, hats and wristbands as 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place prizes. And quite possibly the coolest prize ever, the annual prize for most posts, to be awarded in January 2007, will be a trip for 2 to Vegas baby, yeah. So check it out and have fun: http://www.sportsintensity.com/forum The second big change around here has been the addition of Bodog.com to our top four list of sportsbooks. We put a lot of consideration into their addition and finally decided their excellence merited them a spot among the best. Two words that put Bodog head and shoulders above most sportsbooks out there: "bonuses" and "service." At first look, Bodog's 10% deposit bonus isn't all that generous, especially considering the 20%-25% norm today. However, what makes this bonus different is that it is unlimited and automatic. There is no limit to the amount of bonus nor to the frequency of it's use, nor is there any kind of rollover requirement for you to receive the bonus. You can deposit $100 and get a $10 bonus or you can deposit $50,000 and get $5,000. You can do this the first time or the 3rd, you can do this once a month or fifty times a month. It doesn't matter. It's unlimited and it's automatic. That's cool.
As far as service, we feel that Bodog has raised the bar when it comes to taking bets and helping customers. We love that when you have an issue you get a fast friendly response 24/7. Where they really shine is over the phone. Bodog's college-educated, accent-less service staff take any and all of the language barrier issues that plague some of the lesser sportsbooks and chuck them right out the window. That's also cool. So we recommend Bodog. Check them out: http://www.bodog.com or go here to read our review.
Last but most certainly not least, our beloved right to gamble online is imperiled by a couple of schmucks from Virginia. Congressmen Goodlatte and Boucher are re-introducing their Online Gambling Prohibition Act again in the House of Representatives. In the past the biggest obstacle to the passage of this bill was the lobbying of the nefarious Jack Abramoff who won't be likely to do much to obstruct things this time as he just got five years in the slammer for taking what wasn't his. Tsk, tsk.
Opinions run the spectrum on whether this bill has a chance of passing, but I would feel like a schmuck myself if it passed and I hadn't at least done something. So click here to check out the letter I wrote to my own Congresswoman. Please feel free to copy this letter to send to your rep if you don't feel like writing your own. Click here to go to the House of Representatives' "write your rep" page. Please do your part to save online gambling!
So we hope March Madness has treated you well. The upsets may have been a little upsettting, but all in all it just seems to make the betting all the more intense. Good luck with the rest of the tournament. Bet Smart. to see the
