Football Betting Tip #1: Injuries
With the wealth of information on the Internet, and television today there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get the same information as the bookies, and the "wise guys". When it comes to football wagering, injuries are key. An injured quarterback will move the betting line by 3 points or more! Do your homework when betting the NFL as the scales have been balanced dramatically in your favor since the advent of the Internet.

Football Betting Tip #2: Weather
Use weather reports to help you make your decisions on totals. When betting football totals, a quick peek at the weather report Saturday, and Sunday mornings can alert you if there is a rainstorm, blustery winds, or a blizzard coming. When bad weather does occur, always bet the totals under.

Football Betting Tip #3: Parlays
When betting football parlays, try to parlay the favorite to the over in the same game. If the favorite scores a lot of points, there is a mathematical probability that the same game will go over the total. Conversely, try to bet underdogs to the under in the same game. If it is a low scoring affair, the underdog stands a heightened chance of covering the spread.

Football Betting Tip #4: Teasers
When wagering on NFL teasers, passing through the numbers 3, or 7 can be highly advantageous. Approximately 33% of all NFL games you bet will be decided by 3 points, and 15% of all NFL wagers will be decided by 7 points

Football Beetting Tip #5: "If-Bets"
When placing your action on football, use "if-bets" to increase your win potential, while limiting your loss. An "if-bet" allows you to wager on football, and IF your team wins-ties-cancels you then have action on the next game you choose. IF that game wins-ties-cancels, you move on to the next wager, and so on. As soon as you lose any bet the "ifs" stop advancing.

Football Betting Tip #6: Football On The Internet
With pro football wagering you will want to take your time. While any sportsbook worth it's salt will take your action via telephone, football betting on the internet allows you to wager at your own pace, study the match-ups, and lines, and develop a strategy for that day. In my opinion online football wagering is the way to go.

Football Betting Tip #7: Bet If-Bets On The Internet
Once you are comfortable with "if-bets", you can maximize this strategy by betting your football "if-bets" via internet. Since "if-bets" take time, most call centers allow three "if-bets" maximum. Pro football betting on the internet normally allows one to make 7-8 "if bets".

Football Betting Tip #8: If it's Too Good To Be True...
Stay away from handicapping services that claim to win more than 60% of their plays over time. No one wins football bets at over 60% for extended periods. When speaking to one of these "services", ask if they give out picks year round, or NFL/football bets only? No professional bets year round. They are professional because they recognize their strengths and play to them….Such as NFL football betting! There are handicappers who are legitimate, and will earn you a profit. The best of the best will tell you they do not win higher than 60% though.
